    Neither is the motorcycle twist grip –
    Interesting though, how those carbs bolted right up – no adapter needed :~)

    Bo Eklund (member in Sweden) correctly identified this motor as an Archimedes circa 1913.

    The carbs are not original, as pointed out. Interestingly enough, some photos of this motor show a single carb mounted in the centre of the crankcase with a cover plate over the intake port on each cylinder.

    It appears that this motor would have used a simple mixing valve not unlike those seen on the Evinrude motors of the day, so putting it back to (be closer to) original would not be impossible.
