OK, you have your carb primed and we all know you have a good, hot spark. But you're still not sure if you should pull the rope and join. To help you decide if AOMC is right for you, here is a schedule of some of our upcoming events. We sincerely hope you can find an event close to home. Bring the family, we'd love to meet them too.

If you are a member and plan on attending a meet, please bring a friend along!

If you decide to attend one of the meets, please drop the contact person a line to let them know you are coming and also so that they may let you know of any last minute changes.  They would also be delighted to answer any questions you might have concerning the meet or the Club.

Come enjoy the day on the Thornapple River; browse the Swap Meet or just enjoy the sights and sounds of the Antique Outboard Motors.  Other interests at the Park include the Historic Village and Exhibition Barn.  No pets please.  Gates open at 8AM and coffee and doughnuts will be furnished.Lunch is a Picnic style PotLuck.  Events will include Time trials for 3hp, Zephyr, 5hp top speed for up to 20hp engines on non-hydro boats and How slow can it go contests.  Great location with lots of room for swapping and a great body of water to run those old motors.

Conneaut Marina on Lake Erie is one hour east of Cleveland and a half hour west of Erie, Pa. Additional directions can obtained on web site.

3rd Annual Classic Boat and Car Show

The show is noon until 6:00 p.m. at the public dock. Saturday set up time is after 9:30 am. There is a boat launch ramp at the marina capable of handling all size pleasure boats. In addition to the boat and motor display there will also be a car show, a local band, radio station WWOW, and concessions. The Port Authority will provide a reception/dinner on Friday evening at 6PM for those families participating in the show and arriving early.

There is on-site camping and an arena with bathroom & shower facilities plus space for displaying outboards & boats. There is plenty of space on an old air strip for setting up your swap items. There are on-water activities daily plus open running whenever these are not going on. If you have never come to the Tomahawk meet, we invite you to join us. You will not be disappointed. This meet has something for everyone. For those who have come before or come every year, we will welcome you back for another reunion of old friends. We have a cruise on Lake Mohawksin on Thurs. evening, for anyone interested in getting out on the water with their older boat and motor, with a boat parade following that.

Aug. 2 Lake Stevens, WA

Meet will be at Wyatt Park on the south side of Lake Stevens. Lake Stevens is 5-7 miles east of Everett, WA and north of US Hwy 2. To get there from I-5, go to exit 194, in Everett, then go east on US Hwy 2, across the flats, then bear left up the hill, on SR 204. Go to the first traffic light (Market Street) and make a right turn. Go straight through the traffic light at Hwy 9. Eventually the road changes to Chapel Hill Road. Continue on to the end of the street and you will come to Wyatt Park.

Mid Summer Meet

This is an excellent location to run our old motors so bring what you want to run. We will have three events on Saturday afternoon: Predicted log race, Bang and go back, and a timed event to be announced at the meet. Sunday morning we will have a 7 mile cruise to the dam. Breakfast and lunch is available at the marina, evening meal will be at the pavilion so bring your favorite side dish, the main course will be provided. 530 feet of dockage on the water, protected harbour at the Lions Club boat ramp just steps away from the site. A large grass area available for dry meet, swap meet as well. Onsite area for trailers and vehicles. Public washroom on the site as well as local restaurants and McDonalds. Waterside park for kids as well as beach on opposite side of park for kids. Lots of activities for family as well as local shops and also a movie theatre on site as well. Excellent area for running boats. Pickup boat for safety as well. Reserve your dock space.

Take NYS Thruway (I-90) to Exit 26 toward Rotterdam Junction. Take Exit 1A to Route 5S. The Farm is 2.7 miles on your right. The farm is visible from the road as is the meet.

Historic Mabee Farm Meet

Situated on the Mohawk River at the oldest working farm in the Mohawk Valley, the Historic Mabee Farm offers an ideal location for a swap meet with large parking areas and docks on the river. ADA accessible with clean, accessible rest rooms, historic boat displays, and a replica of the first multi deck boat built in America under construction. Previous meets have been host to more than 140 people.

7th Annual Maritime Museum Meet
Dry, Swap, Display, Formal

Historically a great meet at a great location.  The Museum is situated on the banks of the Black River in downtown South Haven and is home to the tall ship Friends Goodwill.  Always lots of "townies" and tourists with lots of questions and usually some treasures are uncovered from the visitors.  Lots of swap and display space for boats as well as motors.  Open to the public from 10AM to 3PM but setup can begin at 8AM.  Peoples choice awards in many different categories.  Lunch is available at numerous close by restaurants including a large floating restaurant right across the river from the meet.

NO modern race motors will be allowed (used in APBA today) 7. Modern boats are OK but must have antique or classic motor.

meet registration and launching commence at 7 am sharp. all boats must be leagleally registered and have state required safety equiptment on board also all boaters must wear a liofe jacket while boating and all sindividual boat operators must be at least 16 yrs or accompanied by an adulkt by state law and insurance co restrictions whew !! now mfor the meet stuff any type of non current ( vintage) boats may register should be atleast 15 model yrs or older runabouts , hydros and others this is an informal event so you may boat as you see fit we would how ever like to conduct a boat parade around the lake about 11am coffee and donuts will be avail. in the morning and lunch at noon all covered by the $5 per person registration fee also we will conduct a 50/50 very well recieved last year . if you nare going to sell at our over sized swapper shoppee please arrive little early as spots will go quickly also you may display your'e bpoats and motors around the fenced in area ,just please be courteous to others look foward to seeing all of you here !! the last wet meet of 2008 season for the knuckle busters chapter .

The White River at Broad Ripple Park. Broad Ripple Park is located on the north side of Indianapolis at the corner of Primrose and Broad Ripple Avenue (62nd Street). If you go around I-465, get off at the Keystone Exit, head south and turn right on 62nd Street. 62nd becomes Broad Ripple Avenue, turn right into the park. The public launch ramp is right behind the Family Center right as you go into the park, turn left to the ramp.

 

The Jim Hickman Memorial River Cruise

Weather permitting, we will have a "run whatcha brung" meet. We meet at the parking lot in the park, launch our boats, head up river, stop at a sandy beach area, eat lunch (what ever you bring) and then head back to the park. Everyone usually gets there between 9:00am and 10:00am and we usually end about after 3 or 4 hours. One Last Cruise before winter.
