Took the old iron to the Atwood meet in Ohio for a maiden voyage and the thing ran great!! For about 10 minutes… then only on one cylinder. One spark plug died on me so I’m looking for new ones. Luckily the KE7 backup ran flawlessly.

What were the original plugs used and are they any good modern replacements?

My old Champion cat says for the 50-52 models use 5MJ or D-9J. Don’t know why it ignores the ’40’s models.

You can also use the NGK AB-6 or AB-7. The 6 is a little hotter plug.
