I’m working on this Firestone and discovered that the connecting rod is stamped part number 3735-1853. The Firestone service manual part number lists it as 3335-1852. Doing some research, I did not see this part number used on the 7.5’s, but did find a reference in this forum that it applies to a 1957 3.6HP Firestone. Does anyone know if this is the correct rod for this motor? To my knowledge this motor has never been opened up.

I am also interested in locating NOS rings for this motor – part number 3335-1877.

I say go by the part number in the book. -1852 is the number for a connecting rod ASSEMBLY with cap, bearings, screws ect. The -1853 number stamped on the part is an unfinished casting number
