Well, I think I’m getting into this old outboard stuff…. I purchased a 56′ JW-12 on ebay for the whopping sum of 1 penny!(plus shipping, but that’s another story!). Anyway, it runs great! I did however notice that there seems to be a screw missing that holds the intake silencer to the exhaust plate. I haven’t been able to see it in any parts diagrams, and my searches aren’t turning up anything either. Therefore, I figured I’d ask the experts!

      Thanks,

      -Ben

It’s part number 132123 if you want to go the expensive route. Otherwise, scurry off to your local hardware store and purchase a #10-24 x X screw,, where X is the length. Stick something into the hole to determine the length.

Hi Ben. That screw is a 10-24 x1 1/4″ Fillister Head Screw. A round head or oval head screw from your local hardware store will work if your not concerned about originality. Ebay has inexpensive Fillister screws, or if you know an old tinkerer he likely has one.

The Big Orange box stores also carry them in little Spar Packs.
