If everything is OK (No excessive clearances) Synthetic TCW3 would be great at ⅓ of a pint to the gallon.

So you mean if it has no excessive clearances / meaning good compression ? Then 1/3 pint synthetic is good amount .. So 5.3 oz per gallon ..
          Sorry if stupid question ..

I guess with synthetic you don’t have to add quite as much .
Reg tcw-3 at 16:1 is 8 oz per gallon ..

Unless I missed something somewhere, we should probably pin down what model Speeditwin you have. A ’27 Model T Speeditwin, a 6039 Speeditwin, and a ’60’s Speeditwin all have different oil requirements.

I believe the original spec for the 6039 model was 3/4 pint per gallon.

Yes, 8 oz would be 16:1
