Thanks Tubs, you are a big help. Of course when I went back to find the pull start plate it wasn’t there. I searched the room 4 times. I’ll check out that web site. I looked at my tank again and it is really in good shape. No dents or scratches on the left side or the cowling and the right side has a tiny dent(half the size of a pencil eraser) on the top and a dime size on the bottom. What the heck is it worth?

I would agree with Tubs that it is a 1936 model. Not based on the tiller handle but the fact that the small tube from the water pump runs inside of the exhaust tube. In 1937 they moved it outside of the exhaust tube.

Wondering if I could get you to take some more photos of the tiller handle? I have a 1936 model but the handle was missing (broke) and I replaced it with a 1937 handle. I’m curious what the differences are.
            Thanks

Hi Kirk, I can do that. I’ll do it tomorrow sometime. Thanks for letting me know it is a 1936 and the reason why. Also, I’m not convinced they were mirror polished from the factory. I’ve polished aluminum before on motorcycles. Once I get to Hartford Museum I’m hoping they have more info.

Hi DavidK, what are the chances the pull start plate is for sale?

                Thanks
