Art Sesselberg Award Announcement

The Executive Council is pleased to announce that the Pine Tree Boating Club Chapter has received the inaugural Arthur W. Sesselberg Jr. Excellence in Videography Lifetime Achievement Award. An award ceremony will be held in 2021 at a location to be determined due to the current conditions.

This award is given to individuals or chapters in recognition of their contribution to the preservation of historical knowledge or to member education through the use of videography.

The Pine Tree Boating Club Chapter has developed an outstanding YouTube channel containing over three hundred and fifty videos dating back to March 6, 2013. Subjects include meet coverage, how-to’s, and the evolution of items such as magnetos and bearings. The chapter has also initiated a series in which new members are asked to discuss reasons why they chose to join the Club. We encourage you to take a moment to visit their YouTube site and view this chapter’s fine work.

Congratulations to chapter president David Kelly, members Lincoln Davis and Bill Andrulitis, and all the members of the Pine Tree Boating Club Chapter for their outstanding work.

The Executive Council encourages all chapters to consider others for nomination. The nomination form and criteria for nomination are located in the Inner Sanctum section of the club website.

  1. We are so pleased to be the first recipients of this award named in honor of Art Sesselberg. Art was eager to learn and eager to share what he knew about antique outboards. He was passionate about the club and the hobby and his enthusiasm was infectious. With his website and videos, Art pioneered ways of using new technology to help us understand “old technology.”

Thank you for recognizing the Pine Tree Boating Club Chapter’s efforts in carrying this mission forward, and for honoring us with this award.
    -David Kelley
    PTBC Chapter President
