DESCRIPTION:Come and join us at the Lake Hopatcong Fall Meet on October 5\, 2019. Lake Hopatcong is New Jersey’s largest lake with a 52 mile shoreline. Come out for a wonderful day and enjoy the Fall Foliage along the shoreline. Coffee and a bountiful selection of Donuts will be available all morning. There are ample picnic benches for those who bring their own lunch. Otherwise there are many quaint restaurants along the shoreline to stop by and enjoy their lunch offerings as you cruise the lake. There is always a very active swap meet component to the meet. There is a $7 registration fee which covers all the coffee and donuts and provides for a donation to our host who graciously permits us to use his parking lot\, boat ramp and modern wash rooms. There are restrooms at the marina\, but the concession stand is usually closed at this time of the year\, so food will probably not be available. DESCRIPTION:The fall meet highlights the “Under 30 Cubic Inch” motor. The John Sudlow Trophy will be awarded for the best running small motor. Other awards will be handed out. There will be plenty of display area under the pavilion and lunch will be provided. It is asked that everyone bring a covered dish or dessert to share. Members start to arrive as early as Friday afternoon and stay over to Sunday to take advantage of running the old iron. Saturday is the mail event with all the awards/trophy’s\, display and luncheon on that day. After the luncheon a short business meeting will be held for elections of officers and setting the next year’s schedule. In the afternoon an auction will be held under the old tree so please bring your old unwanted items to pass along. DESCRIPTION:This is a 4 day meet. We have a hockey arena where we set up outboard motors for display or judging. The swap area is an old air strip and spaces can be rented from the city of Tomahawk. There is camping on the grounds but no hookups and the arena bathrooms are open 24/7 which also include showers. There are also port-a-pottys available on the grounds. Registration opens each morning at 8:00am after the National Anthem and coffee & homemade bakery is offered. We have on-water activities Thurs.\, Fri.\, & Sat.
