SUMMARY:Lake Shipp Fall Festival
DESCRIPTION:100th Anniversary Elto Motor Co.\n110th Anniversary Caille Perfection Motor Co.\nIt’s that time again for the annual Lake Shipp Fall Festival. Lake Shipp is one of the “Chain of Lakes” and is a great place for vintage boating and displaying boats and motors. This meet is attended by AOMCI members from many states as well as our local chapter. Lake Shipp has a nice boat ramp with plenty of parking and a large beach for our boats. This year’s meet is going to be a special meet as we are celebrating the vision of Ole Evinrude’s Elto Light Twin Outboard Motor and Adolf and Arthur Caille forming the Caille Perfection Motor Company. After a five year hiatus Ole came back in 1921 with the Elto Ruddertwin. Let’s see how many Elto’s and Caille’s we can proudly display. \nFriday will be set up day and a planned Elto and Caille cruise around Lake Shipp prior to lunch at the Harborside Restaurant will take place… of course all boats are invited to cruise around the lake and we will all meet at the Harborside restaurant for lunch at 11:30. For those going by car the address is 2435 7th St. SW\, Winter Haven\, Fl. 33880. Its located right on Lake Shipp. The rest of the day will be spent setting up and enjoying the lake. \n       Friday night’s dinner will be at Ruby Tuesday’s at 5995 Cypress Garden’s Blvd. at 7.00 pm sharp. Please RSVP \nSaturday is the big meet day… more members will be showing up to set up their displays and running their boats. This is a judged meet so bring your best. We will have many categories for judging and it won’t be limited to Elto and Caille motors. There will be some special awards along with the Outboarder of the Year and the Cranfield award. The 50/50 raffle and awards will be presented after lunch which will be catered by Woody’s Bar-B-Q. \nOur Host hotel is the Hampton Inn at 202 Cypress Gardens Blvd. Winter Haven\, Fl. Our rate is $119.00 per night. Call 863-299-9251 and tell them you are with the Antique Outboard Motor Club. There are many other local hotels to choose from. \nSince this is going to be a big meet and well attended please RSVP me for Friday’s lunch cruise at the Harborside\, Friday night’s dinner at Ruby Tuesday and Saturday’s Woody’s Bar-B-Q. \nText me at 561-856-6740 or email rcgomersall@yahoo.com for RSVP. \nThis year I look forward to having much needed help as Roger Stamer has stepped up to help me as meet host. Thank you Roger !! \nAlso this year we will have members from the Caille family in attendance !! \n             DON’T MISS THIS EVENT…. IT’S GOING TO BE SPECIAL !!!\nMeet Type:\n\nWet\nDisplay\nSwap
