SUMMARY:Knuckle Buster Lake Hopatcong Fall Meet
DESCRIPTION:Come and join us at the Lake Hopatcong Fall Meet on October 3\, 2020. Lake Hopatcong is New Jersey’s largest lake with a 52 mile shoreline. Come out for a wonderful day and enjoy the Fall foliage along the shoreline. There are picnic benches for those who bring their own lunch. Otherwise\, there are many quaint restaurants along the shoreline to stop by and enjoy their lunch offerings as you cruise the lake. No coffee or donuts will be served due to COVID-19. There is always a very active swap meet component of the meet and everyone is encouraged to display their favorite antique outboard motor. There is a $5 registration fee which provides for the donation of a gift card to our host who graciously permits us to use his parking lot and boat ramp. DESCRIPTION:Everyone will meet up at Broad Ripple Park at the boat ramp which is on the mighty White River. We will start arriving around 8:00am and help get the boats into the water. Bring your own lunch and something to share with members. If you don’t have a boat\, there are plenty of boats with extra seats available. Our tour of the White River will begin around 10:00 and a easy cruise up the river to the an island where we stop for lunch. DESCRIPTION:Due to all the COVID closures I’m having a meet at my home in West Virginia. I know it’s out of the way but we can have a good time. I’m located in Capon Bridge\, West Virginia\, about a half hour west of Winchester\, Va. The meet starts at 8:00 am. Lunch will be served. Donations are graciously accepted. Bring a chair. Please contact me ahead of time if you will be there so I can plan food better.  Hot dogs and hamburgers to be served .  Thanks. \nDirections as follows:\nTake I-81 to exit 317 coming from the north and exit 310 coming from the south. This will put you on Rt 37. From north go right on Rt 37 and from the south go left on Rt 37. Follow Rt 37 to Rt 50\, heading toward Romney W.V. Follow Rt 50 for 16.5 miles into the town of Capon Bridge. Observe the 35 mph speed limit. Go another 2.8 miles up over the mountain and heading down the other side. Dillons Run Rd will be on the left. Go 2.7 miles to our home on the left. It is a paved driveway with a small split rail fence.
