There’s a 1950 Champion Accessory Book on Ebay showing
these canvas covers. I’ve never seen one.
Has anyone seen one?
Did anyone besides Champion offer them?
Martin offered a script power head cover for the Martin 100 similar to that Champion cover. Also touted for use as a boat cushion. Think I saw one at Tomahawk once.
Johnson and Evinrude did. The original Johnson cover had a wood base and was designed to clamp to a 1920s cars running board. That was a time when a car’s trunk was an actual trunk. I took a picture of one at our meet. . . 😀
Evinrude had them listed in there 1947 accessary catalog.
Thanks Garry. Adventure back in the old days must have
been a real "adventure"……… outboard strapped to the
running board, and the mother in law in the rumble seat!
Non of my outboards looked like they were ever pampered
by the use of a canvas cover or tote bag, lol.
I’m surprised the cowlings survived on my grandfather’s
Buccaneer……. he usually took off unnecessary things
in the way and threw them in the scrap pile.
