      I have a Johnson FD 11..compression on it is 80 on top and 90 on the bottom.. will a 1957 evenrude 18 hp powerhead bolt up on this Johnson..an work if I change the cowl mounts ?. which looks like the head and intake on the evenrude…Thakyou in advance for all info.

        Hello Don!  Yes that Evinrude power head will work on your Johnson.  You will have to use the Johnson head and front cower brackets.  The intake is the same, just the front brackets that the rewind bolts to will have to be changed.  We swap parts all the time.

          Hello Dale…thankyou for this info,I ordered an evenrude powerhead this morning…could not find a johnson…..suppose to have 120 on both cylinders..
