This tank is new to me. I have never seen one of these before. Is it a common tank?

Affectionally known as a “suitcase tank”, it was the first OMC pressure tank, 1950 thereabouts.

It’s in good shape. What’s it worth?

Value like beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Does it hold pressure? Clean inside? I can’t see the fitting on the end of the hose.

It was also used with the early 50s Evinrudes.

I removed the fitting to replace the seals. Inside as clean as a whip. Cork float looks as good as new. I’ll check pressure when I replace the fitting. It has 16 feet of fuel line. Fuel line looks to good to be original. But the brass clamps are original. 16 feet of fuel line. The boat it was in is only 14 feet!

They progressed to the shorter 6 gallon tanks for a reason. I’ve heard the tall boys were top heavy but have no personal experience. Someone looking for the period correct tank might pay more. Location can also affect value. I’ll say $100. plus.
