MIKE: I should add that basically the Tandem sets were just Sweet 16’s with different decals & serial #nd I.D. plates. Of course what make this all rare is the Dual Champion Controls & all the cables & mounts & proper cable ends to hook it all up for front cockpit control & the dual fuel lines & fittings to the Single Champion Remote Tank. The singular Sweet 16 also had that set up, but it is just doubled on the Tandems. VERY FEW Tandem’s were ever produced & sold. Today it is nearly impossible to find a complete set & they are a “Saw Horse Queen” collector set which I would never rig on a boat & Run, just to rare & they make a excellent display mounted on a era boat, of course. I think as they did not have electric start it would be to “Busy” to have to start each motor individually & then crawl up to the front cockpit to work the remote controls. It would take a very dedicated 50’s collector to be willing to do that.??.MY opinion only, of course.. Champion went out of business in 1957 & I think it was a novel idea, sort of a “Last Hope”, to get that H.P. to compete with the big boys & thus sell more motors, but it never worked out & they went bankrupt.

YES, I have those instructions, but I do not think they offered a Boat & Motors package but rather just the Tandem 33 Package. I do not know if there is or was a record of how many Tandems were sold, but that would now be lost to time & I have never seen or heard of but a few, who knows but it never went over with the public so 10-20????? sets, maybe less????????, I am sure all the records, & people are now long gone that would have had that information.
