      Hello, I just picked up a 1929 Johnson S-45 I plan to get running
      Does anyone have access to specs for this engine? Spark plugs, point gap, ect?
      Any helpful hints or experience/ stories helpful too!
      I might be missing a part on the exhaust leg. I’ll try to get a picture up, not sure what the mechanism might be.

          I have all the information you need and lots of parts to help you get it running, as far as spark plugs I like to run NGK AB6 spark plugs, your carburetor is updated it originally had a Johnson carburetor yours has the Vacturi AO500 with an adapter much smoother running carburetor. Main thing I have to concern yourself with is the crankshaft on these motors have to make sure that there is no major pitting on the crank pins ….😎
