Re-took a couple of pics, but may have made them too small and grainy?

I think that is known as a Sea King Midget.

NOTE: Early motors 1938-39 did not have the round cowls (Chipmunk Cheeks)
Only 1940 & up have cowls! A lot of members get this wrong?

Thanks so much gentlemen for the interesting and informative info.
Have not got into the carb yet (& possible needle seat problems), and the piston water pump sounds different.

Also now realize that there should be a “chipmunk cheek” on both sides of my ’46 model.

              Cheers, BIll.

Here is my 1938 seaking. It is not so shinny anymore! Cute little buggers, you will have to learn how to start them but they are fun for sure.

                  Dale,
Your motor looks really nice, are those new decals? If so where did you get them?Mine got pretty much ruined in the fire.
Was white an original colour for ’38? Mine looks like it was gold on the tank & gearcase.

Will have to scout up a starboard cheek for mine too.

                  Cheers, Bill.

Bill I think they were originally dull silver color. Someone will correct me if that is not the case. Mine is Ford tractor grey. I painted it with a brush during the winter in my basement a couple years ago now. Tractor paint holds up well to gas and those little mixers tend to get messy. I did not know about drilling out the carburetor. Will have to check that out. I am happy if I can get it to run! Decals are not a problem. Just do some searching, I found these on ebay.

Thanks Tubs, lapping the needle & seat sounds much more efficient and less likely to mess things up!

Haven’t had the carb off yet, so it’ll be interesting to see if someone has followed the Bulletin already but doubt it somehow.

                        Cheers Bill.
