      Anyone have any idea what brand model of boat motor this is?

            It’s definitely a Gale product with the hurricane warning flags on the Welch plug!

            Was this meant as a wake up call to the Mercury owners back in the day?

              flags……. then again, I’ve never seen any on MN lakes!

                  The Gale “hurricane flags” must have been a slight to Mercury,
                  rather than the little Gale pushing the boat 73 mph, the warning
                  flag ranking!
