      1. Water not pumping.
      2. Will not shift, forward only.
I pulled the lower unit and to my suprise this is not anything like an omc.
      Where is the water pump?
      Do I need special tools?
The powerhead starts and runs good. I’d like to get this one going for my Alumacraft FD.
      Anyone have a parts diagram?
      Thanks
      Jim

keep going up and take out the transmission then the water pump you need special tools or make them to do the job. 1 914 310 7086. Dave.

Or, just bolt that good-running powerhead onto a K model tower, no shift, and save yourself big headaches with auto tranny. I love my Merc 200/KG7 rat motor.

Dave, thanks for your reply and for giving me some good ideas. I’ll continue to evaluate. JW that rat motor project sounds to cool, I’ve got a KE7 that might just get built up and the Merc200 leftovers will become my new mailbox, nothing goes to waist around here.

Actually I used a KE7 tower to provide 3/8" additional crankshaft / drive shaft engagement, then a KG7 foot. Makes a great rat motor. JW in Dixie
