I am pretty new to the old outboards and maybe someone can steer me in the right direction. I have a 46 Martin 60, cleaned and gapped points, cleaned carb. Starts on one pull and runs great at lower speed. After about 2/3rds throttle kind of bogs and as you give more throttle bogs more. Where should I be looking?
Cleaned the fuel system? Might be getting a clog somewhere.
Some of the older Johnsons with the tank on top have a brass filter inside the tank, if the Martin has a similar setup then as the fuel runs through it debris could be collecting around the filter and starving it.
