      Does anyone know who can repair my mercotronic 9800? Some of the functions don’t work. I think it has a couple of bad diodes.

        Dave Bernard. Bought one from him. Vibrater points hazed up last winter, still trying to find a couple of hours to get the thing fixed. Good source though!

          Tom,
          Your merc o has 120 vac supply correct? On the bridge diode set has 4 diodes. Is that the ones that have failed? You can check each diode by using an ohm meter. Check input then reverse leads, should have high then low resistance by reversing the leads. If it is passing current both ways it is bad. Get a bridge diode from radio shack the 25 ampere guy & install. Follow the drawing on the part to connect. You may have other problems too. Can’t tell yet till that is fixed

            Thanks! Yes it has a 120 supply as well as battery. will see if I can figure out what is the bridge. I had some one check it for me and told me there were a couple bad diodes.
