      What are the initial carb settings for the 1953 Scott-Atwater 7.5HP with the Tillotson MD64A carburetor?

        Jason,
        I would try 1 turn out on the hi speed jet & get it tuned up then try turning the lo speed the opposite way for a good idle, Same as Firestone’s or close to it.’ Haven’t forgot your motor, been a little under the weather.

          Not sure of the initial setting, but the key to those is u can not fine tune in a barrel. My bail a matic had to be on a boat under load.

            Jason,
            My, like any other Scott sounds like it’s going to come apart from the high revving fully jewelled bearings, bu t will fly across the water if you keep gearoil in it. A member machined my gearcase to hold two D-shaft seals. Helped a bunch.
