Timer handle – Its an Eisemann magneto… or is it American Bosch? I disremembered exactly – at any rate, the magneto is not a Thor product. Caille model 79-88-99-109-119 uses the same magneto. Thus, there is more than one motor that uses that style of magneto.
Spark Plug – do you have a copy of "The Old Outboard Book" by Peter Hunn?
Spark plug charts galore in there. Tells ya everything you need to know about antique motors and which plugs to use.
Thor uses a Champion 6M. If it was my motor, it would still be using a 6M. Apparently I’m an idiot for using old plugs. You can also use a Champion K15J.
