1.5 prop removal

      I have a 1948 sportman 1.5 and cannot get the prop off. Removed the rubber, saw a broken shear pin and removed it but the prop will move only slightly but will spin freely. seems to be stopped by….??
      what am I missing?

        With the shear pin out, it should almost fall off. Gotta have something to do with that broken shear pin. Maybe it raised a burr on the shaft or something? Pull harder.

              Did you remove the small cotter pin behind the shear pin? It’s there to keep the prop from falling to the bottom of the lake if the shear pin shears.

                thanks to all. It was a burr along with many feet of nylon line all jammed up. I’ve done a lot before and just wasn’t sure. Thanks again…..Brian
