Just a good ‘ol fashion skillsaw with a metal cutting blade, and a steady hand.
On a side note, it took me a solid 15 minutes to put the forward gear, cradle, and yoke back into one of these today. The service manuals call for a special tool which I surmise ‘snakes’ a threaded screw on a flexible wire down through the shifter bearing orifice, out the back of the gearcase housing, and then pulls the 3 pieces into place.
Does anyone have any self-made tools to recreate this handy gadget? (Or even one to sell)
