I recently acquired another Speedifour with the serial #10011 indicating that it is the 11th Speedifour built in the 1940 model year. The question is when did production begin for the new year’s models? Did the 1940 models begin in late 39 or was it January 40? My guess is that it would be sometime in late 1939.

Correction the serial # is 01011.
