That’s an interesting coil. I don’t think an OMC universal coil
will swap on that one, lol.

Motor is looking nice, but wish the photos were bigger.

            Prepare to be boarded!

Occasionally the coil is found to be good on these
but its not very often and most likely yours has
failed as well. Most people use a model T Ford
buzz coil to get them running again. They’re
              plentiful and relatively inexpensive.

A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

On behalf of the OP and our community, thanks Tubs for your always most helpful posts.
And while I’m at it, here is a schematic for how to rig the Model T buzz coil. As a bonus the home made capacitor tester on there too.

Tubs great pictures an d, as usual from you a big help.
And, here is a schematic for hooking up a Model T coil. A good source for a modern coil is Snyders Antique Auto parts.
As a bonus attached is info for the home built capacitor tester.

In my search for a buzz coil in my stock pile of parts I found this coil . A Wells MFG Co coil Wisconsin . Can anyone identify it ?
