      Yes, that is exactly what I have going on.

      I do think that in my case, finding a new powerhead would be best because this motor has fallen over at some point (may be why it has a different tank), and two out of the three castings that the tank bolts on to have snapped.

      The timer has been capped, and I need to make new wires for the coil. Other than that, the lower section spins freely and should be all ok.

      Where should I start? I spent about 3 months working on buffing the mid section, and I’ve gone through there. o

      Any ideas where I can find a powerhead?

        I agree that you should try to save the powerhead!  Snapped metal mounts can be welded and rethreaded.  Just work at unseizing it slowly and methodically.  Apply lots of penetrating oil and and be patient!

          Yes, I have been trying that. Chances are slim, though. I can see the rings bulging into the exhaust ports, I think it was ran with absolutely zero oil. One of the rods is cantilevered and belt as well, but I am not giving up!
