I am going to try to start my motor Friday afternoon. I believe I was told I can use the same oil that you mix for any 2 cycle engine made today. I know that I am to mix 1/2 pint per gallon for this motor. I just want to make sure that I use the right oil.
Thanks, Robert Clark
You should use a TCW rated oil made for outboards, not the 2 cycle oil used for air cooled weed eaters or leaf blowers.

Yes. Don’t know how much you intend to use/run that motor but a gallon of oil will last you a long time. You can buy pint bottles at Walmart as well.

Great, I plan to use it as my primary motor for my 14′ aluminum boat to take my grandson fishing along with a 36lb thrust trolling motor. Mainly using the Johnson to get to and from fishing ares. I will get the pint first and see how thing go Friday when I try to start it. I have spark and compression so I am sure it will run.
Thanks again for the info.
