      Hi all,

I would like to get my father-in-law’s antique outboard running for him.

I am not much of a gear head, so I am looking for a shop to perform the work.

the big challenge is the aluminum intake has a crack, and the choke lever is broken off. These need welding and filing.

Does anyone have a good contact for this work? I am located on the West Coast, but I’d be happy to fabricate a shipping crate and send it anywhere within the US or Canada.

      thank you.

This is a club website and we do this as a hobby.
There are a small number of places that do the
50’s and up motors but I don’t know how much
interest they might have in a pre WW-II motor.
As you’re willing to ship someone here might have
an interest in taking it on if the motor is something
they have a lot of experience with. One thing I can
tell you is being a 1929 there was an issue with the
pot metal that some of the parts (mostly carburetor)
were made of at that time. They are not repairable.
Sometimes a later motor used the same carb and
one can be substituted as the problem was solved
in later years. You need to provide any numbers
from the motor and pictures would be helpful. If you
have trouble posting pictures email them to me
        and I will post them.
