May 31, 2015 at 3:07 pm #1645This motor is advertised as a 1930’s OMC.
Any idea what model, hp, and year it might be?
Thankshttp://grayhitandmiss.com/Outboards/omc1.jpg http://grayhitandmiss.com/Outboards/omc2.jpg http://grayhitandmiss.com/Outboards/omc3.jpg Prepare to be boarded! May 31, 2015 at 3:13 pm #17280Looks like 1935 standard fisherman or could be a 1936 service twin both look the same. May 31, 2015 at 3:16 pm #17281Thanks for the fast reply! Prepare to be boarded! May 31, 2015 at 4:36 pm #17285That sure looks like my Fisherman, mine is a ’33 battery ignition one though…. http://www.richardsoutboardtools.com
classicomctools@gmail.comMay 31, 2015 at 4:44 pm #17286I was looking for photos online of Fisherman’s and Standards of the 35-36 era,
but having trouble finding them. Anyone know where they’re hiding?Prepare to be boarded! May 31, 2015 at 7:56 pm #17299Search google images 1935 evinrude fisherman. I have some posted on Pinterest of the 1935 catalog etc. most should come up.
There’s not a huge amount of photos of them but they are out there. The weedless version is even harder to find photos of in the 35 model.May 31, 2015 at 9:21 pm #17304it must be a Service Twin ( I have exactly the same as yours and mine has model 4161 on the ID plate )
 based on two things;
the cavitation plate is a little bigger then the Fisherman
and the little extra outlet on the alu. muffler
makes it ( IMO ) a Service Twin 1936 with 4,3 hpbtw. I have a Fisherman too ( name on the tank decal ) but on the ID plate is model 476 and that
belongs to the Sportwin 1933 with 4 hp
so you can make a choice with all the info here on the board
😉June 1, 2015 at 1:12 am #17321Thanks again for the information! I plan to look at the motor Tuesday
to see If I want to bid on it. The back of the gas tank looks like it
rolled down Mt. Everest, but it’ suppose to be "loose" and have
compression.Prepare to be boarded! June 2, 2015 at 10:14 pm #17459I looked at the Outboard Motors Corporation motor today, and found the following on the transom
 tag……
 4093-3119
I found a model 4093 on this site,
 http://www.yankeeaomci.org/evinrudeat100.htm
showing it as an 1935 Evinrude 4hp.
Was Outboard Motors Corporation ever a separate entity from
 Evinrude?
Thanks, BuccPrepare to be boarded! June 2, 2015 at 11:04 pm #17464They’re one in the same Evinrude adopted the OMC name through the mid 30s after a buy out of other outboard companies but it was still Evinrude, Peter Hunns the old outboard book has more details 😎
