I’m not finding anyone selling decals for the early Sportfours.
The 9017 is electric start, and I’m not sure if that
changed the decals in any way compared to the manual start. The current decals on the tank do not appear original, as there’s
an old “brush on” paint job underneath them, and the operating
instruction atop of the tank mention wrapping the rope and
Pull Starting!Anyone have a better example of an original decal than the one Richard
linked to? Hard to say, but it looked king of “Greenish”.Prepare to be boarded!

Attached is the pic of the ’36 Sportfour sales catalog picture (red background). The ’36 decal has the gold background similar to the 1937 shown in the other picture.

I got the latest list from Dixie at Tomahawk, but
she doesn’t have them listed.Prepare to be boarded!

He was at Tomahawk as well.
A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.
August 20, 2025 at 10:56 pm #299131Jerry tries to make decals that Dixie doesn’t.
August 21, 2025 at 9:00 am #299140I just looked in the July issue of the “Outboarder” and
while I did not find an ad from Jerry Nelson decals,
I did find an ad from a Lori selling decals, and stating
that “These were Jerry Nelson decals”.
I’m not finding him on the Net either.Prepare to be boarded!
August 21, 2025 at 1:34 pm #299143Jerry may not use computers. In the past, Lori Strand took over his decals after he stopped. He recently has resumed selling them. He is in the aomci directory as Gerald Nelson in Wisconsin.
