The gear on the drive shaft wont come off. I see no retainer of any kind,
clip, pin, etc., so I’m guessing there’s a tad of rust on the splines.
I’ve tried tapping it off with a brass punch, etc., with no luck.
I didn’t get out the torch, as I see no reason why it really has to come apart,
      so why risk ruining something.
Anyway, during the process, I was wondering if anyone had a parts manual for
this motor that may shed any light on the gear case, or any unforeseen future events?

Also, I noticed above the upper gearcase cover bolt hole, that there is a steel pin
in another hole. It could be a pin or machine screw, but it looks like it was cut off with
      a hacksaw before being installed.
Is this pin simply plugging the hole, or retaining the driveshaft, or?
No idea why the hole is there anyway? Anyone know what’s up with this?
