Where can I send my Eisemann coil to be rewound? It shows a dead short between the ground wire and the primary wire.
The model of the magneto assembly is a 61-b.

This all belongs to my 1938, 2a-38 Neptune.

I can’t answer your question but how accurate is your meter?  Primary winding resistance is very low.  If a primary does fail it usually opens, showing infinite resistance.

If you could find someone to rewind your coil, it would most likely
cost more than the motor is worth.
Your magneto may be a candidate for an OMC universal coil swap.

Might be a long shot but you might try Bob’s Small Engine Repair in Iowa.  He had a replacement Eisemann coil for my twin cylinder Champion outboard a couple years ago and I recall he told me he had some other Eisemann coils available.   Maybe he might have one for your 61B magneto.   If not, as Buc noted you might be able to swap in an OMC universal coil.
