      US MEMBER PAY BY CHECK

      I have seen some strange mags before, but this one has me puzzled. I just picked up this little HD15, and can’t figure out how the mag works.
      What is the small copper strip located in the id of the flywheel for? It doesn’t seem to make contact with anything on the mag plate.
      I cleaned the point surfaces, but they don’t appear to open or close. I don’t see a cam on the crankshaft, just a big (3/4") round oil wiper.

      Anyone have a parts breakdown for this one? I don’t see it covered in my Johnson Service manual.

        Did you get the heavy lead magnetic rotor with that unit. The round wavey washer (I think your talking about) sits on top of the rotor. Show us pic’s of what you looking at, and we can give you a better answer
