Can anyone tell me which controls are what on the engine, I just bought one and can’t wait to get it out on the water, I know where the fuel valve is from the tank, what is the round one with numbers and does the handle on rhe flywheel act as a rpm adjustment or throttle it has a tiller arm on it as well anyone with advice will be truly appreciated! 🙂

Does it have a front shroud that covers the carb and front of motor, and does the round dial with the numbers kinda stick out from under that cover?
Most common model is the 6039, which was sold from 1937-1950. If you check the motor ID plate for the serial number, the first four digits will be your model number.
IF – it is a 6039 – the handle "on the flywheel" that you mention is actually under the flywheel and is attached to the magneto plate, and it does indeed act as an RPM control, as it advances/retards the timing depending on where the operator positions it.
The round dial with the numbers is your needle valve adjustment for the high-speed jet. There is a second needle valve adjustment on the lower part of the carb, it has a small T-handle on it. This one is for adjusting the low-speed mixture for idling.
There should be a silver or aluminum button somewhere, this is your primer and it’s important that it be working properly, as these motros like a lot of priming when you go to start them
Hope this helps.
