Hey Brian, thank you for all the tips and help! Very appreciated! I think for starters, my coil is weak, I put a new condenser in and payed a lot of attention the points which are the original 1941’s. I can put a screw into the spark plug boot, turn the flywheel, and hold onto the screw and its just a tiny tingle, so I really don’t think the coil has anything left. The Carb is actually very simple! I think I need to play with the reed plate, it doesnt have much flex to it.

For the moment I think I’m gonna clean her up, research how to make a modern coil fit and then play with the reed plate again, Thank you for all of your suggestions!

Those soft iron flywheel magnets can lose magnetism if dropped without a “keeper”( iron strap or tool) across the magnetic poles. If they are weak, they may be re-charged. Many members have the Stevens Magnacharger used for this purpose.

Thank you Gary! The magnets appear strong. but possibly are weaker, its 80 years old! lol Would you have a picture or a link for the Stevens Magnacharger? I’ve started looking and keep finding super chargers for cars.. Thank you
