Hi I have a 1941 sea king one horse I believe it to be and I am trying to get it running. I can get it to pop a couple times but I’m not sure how to set the timing on it with the handle for consistent running any help would be appreciated

For starting magneto lever should be pointing
to around 4 or 5 O’clock as you face the motor.
Mixture screw should be open a bit more than
a 1/4 turn from being lightly seated. (closed-
the mixture lever should point to 3 O’clock if
set properly) To be sure the motor isn’t flooded
close the mixture screw all the way and pull it
over 6 or 8 times. If the motor takes off and
dies it was flooded. If not open the mixture
screw to “prime”. If set properly the priming
lever will push down the float pin. Watch for
gas to start dripping. Immediately move the
mixture screw to about 11 O’clock (a bit more
than a 1/4 turn from being lightly seated) and
        try to start the motor.

A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.
