I recently started to restore a 1947 Johnson Outboard that was given to me.  I have no idea how long since it’s been run, or if it even runs at all.  I replaced the plug wires, gapped and clean the points, gapped the magneto and installed new plugs and checked for spark.  I am about to clean the carburetor and wanted to know if anyone can tell me if Lloyd Lautner is still selling new leather primer seals??  I did not want to possibly ruin the old ones if I cannot find a replacement.

Yes, Lloyd still has the leather primer seals.   I don’t have his contact info on hand, but I’m sure he will respond here or someone else can supply his info.

I still make the primer seals and installation instructions, but getting hard to find the proper leather.  Send $10.00 cash (no checks or Money orders)  and a Self Addressed Stamped envelope to me.   Lloyd Lautner 9289 North Long Lake Road  Traverse City  Michigan  49685
