    Hope someone can help,,just got this unit out from the shed a few months ago..been working on it and started to put it together,,,last bolt to tighten down was the fly wheel center but and it snapped off😥

    The stend or threads are just about even with the flywheel…

    Looked at the threaded stud and it was hollowed out about 1 inch from the start of the threads

    Metal looks a little soft but a magnet barely attacks to it..

    Any idea what I can do to snitch a nut down and hold the fwheel in place

      I suppose that a good machinist could work out a repair for that but given the number of those engines “out there” I would suggest simply getting another powerhead.  Swap the crankshaft out of it or just swap the entire assembly.

      It will be interesting to see what others here have to say.

        Whatever you do, make sure it is strong and secure as a flywheel flying off is not considered the safest thing in the world..
