Louis, The prop shaft seal you cited, is the same one I ordered.
The driveshaft on the seal area measures .472, which I find a
metric seal available in that size, but not with the 1.000 O.D.
I ordered metric seal 4720, which is 12x25x7.
I believe I can use this seal, if I make a new piece that the seal
      is pressed into.
M.E. looks to have a replacement for the pump cartridge square
O-ring, but they want $15.00 for one. There may be some on
Ebay for about $10, but more research is needed.

Grease it is for the gear case.
      Thanks!

Years ago I read an article in hobby magazine about making tires for model airplane. Not actual tire, but, more on order of an O ring to fit over a wheel. As I recall he made a mold and filled it with a rubber material and bakek it .
Apparently the right size O ring was not to be found. Making a square O ring would
be about same. Laugh as you may, some are making impellers, small items and
gas caps by similar low tech
        high labor methods,

Louis, “baking rubber” reminds me of my
Creepy Crawler set I had back in the 1960’s.
My favorite thing was to make the huge spider
and scare my mom with it!
I went ahead and ordered 25-20812 o-ring from Ebay
for around $8, as that’s the replacement number M.E. gave.

If I can offer a tip on replacing the cartridge, put it in the freezer for several hours and then heat up the gear case with a heat gun and it will drop right in.

A "Boathouse Repair" is one that done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

Tubs, My cartridge pulled out, and tapped in relatively easy,
but I finally did get one of those heat guns…….. sure beats
              using a hair dryer!
