The shift linkage setup in the early RD series changed a few times. There were two versions used in the RD10-15 nd then the RD-16 had a setup with the brass clamp and two bolts that lasted for many modle years thereafter.

Doe anyone know if the later 1954 style linkage can be put into the earlier motors? I could likely figure it out by comparing many parts, but just wondering if anyone has tried this yet.
