I could find no photos of the subject carb online, so I’m posting mine,
as long as I had a question or two.
The “very hard to read” digital parts diagram I have mentions a primer
“check valve”, but it doesn’t actually show it in the diagram that
I can tell. When I had it apart, there was no type of check valve
in mine. Anyone know if the later 6039’s had one, and if so,
      what it consist of?
      Photos always helpful.

Was there ever an “operators” manual printed for the 1950 Speeditwins,
that might show initial carb needle settings, starting instructions, etc.,
and just be plain fun to see??
      Thanks!

The pages doesn’t say “Speeditwin” in the first paragraphs, as
the info is continued from a previous page, but it’s reads like
it is for a Speeditwin. Correct?
              Thanks!

A "Boathouse Repair" is one that done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

Tubs, I’ didn’t think about that there might be a check valve at the cylinder end of the discharge line.
Will have to check that, and double check my elbow on the bottom of the carb.
                  Thanks.

Buc , I think Garry in Tampa posted that on my thread IIRC .. It’s strange on my tank decal instructions it says to turn the slow speed adjustment at the bottom of the carb 1-1/2 turns .
But on that literature it says to turn it 1/2 turn .. I’m not versed enough to know which is correct . Everything here is a learning process for me …

Hopefully I’ll find the lower unit parts some day and have a reason
to adjust the carb. I’ve watched a few videos of Speeditwins
running. Look like a fun motor!
