1950’s Lightwin lower unit options?

Hi All, I picked up a very nice Evinrude 3hp Lightwin with the “weedless” angled lower unit. I was wondering if these ever came with a straight normal lower unit or if a later one would fit?

yes yachtwin had the straight lower.

I have only saw the standard lower units on the 4hp Yachttwin motors .

The three horse Johnson JH models had 90° gearcases. No reason you couldn’t slip one onto a Lightwin.
