      Hi. I’m in need of a clutch retainer ands spring and sleeve assembly to fit my recently acquired Sea King 5hp. It’s a model 35GG-9015A; serial No. 474164. I was told it was an earlier model but parts blow-up shows it to be more recent; possibly 1951 – 1954. I bought it for the stern of my 1946 Old Town square back canoe. The gear case oil was not recently changed nor checked (my bad) and the clutch mechanism seized up due to water in the case. Can anybody help?

        I probably have the parts but can’t get to my shop till this weekend. I can check then if you still need them.

          That model number indicates it’s a 1953. The first 2 digits for that series are inverted for the year.

            I’ll be glad to wait. I think this is going to be a difficult part to find.

                Can anyone confirm that this lower unit is the same one used on the Johnson TN?
