Does anyone know where to get a new decal with operating instructions that goes inside the cowling on a 1953 Fastwin. Other years will probably work.
Thanks, David
April 11, 2017 at 4:45 am #55872That question has been brought up before but it seems no one is making them and I know I’ve tried to find them before to with no luck. I can’t remember who but one member was working on his a while back and I’m not sure if he printed one at home or had one made by a sign shop.
Is your ’53 Fastwin decal similar to this ’56 Sportwin one?
April 11, 2017 at 12:36 pm #55884I made one and printed it off on my "ink jet" printer,
using "white, waterslide decal paper"
I had some issues with part of it adhering, and
ended up with a big air bubble under it.
Not sure if I had the surface too slick, poor application,
or "what". Your mileage may vary!Prepare to be boarded!

p.s. Where do you get water slide decal paper?
April 11, 2017 at 2:44 pm #55896Amazon / eBay.
Just search "water slide decal paper".
There’s white and clear, laser and Inkjet.

Stuffs not real expensive so mistakes
learning aren’t too costly.A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.
