Hi, I’m looking for some guidance on what to set my carb to on my 1953 Johnson Qd-14.

      Thanks

Mason the initial settings on your carb will be one turn on the high speed and maybe one and a quarter on the low speed.   That should get it started.   Remember you need spark, compression and fuel to make some smoke.  That ’53 motor is a mile stone in the history of outboard motors.   Mine is one of the fastest 10hp motors I own.  It is light and a little noisy but they are excellent motors.
