I destroyed the "Starting & Operating Instructions" decal
inside the cowl (stupid masking tape) but luckily I took
a photo of it first.
I tried blowing it up to read the photo, etc., and got "most"
of the text.
Does anyone have the "missing" words that are "x’ed" in the
text?
I’m going to try to make one on the ink jet printer with decal paper.
Thanks!Prepare to be boarded!

Robbie RobertsonFebruary 19, 2017 at 2:25 pm #53258Thanks Mumbles! I think your decal is the same except the
mention of "OR ELECTRIC AUTO-LITE A3X", and of course
the mention of the "Far North" 🙂
And, I can actually "read" your decal !Prepare to be boarded!
February 19, 2017 at 5:00 pm #53270I can’t say for sure but I think the photo is of a ’56 Sportwin hood and I can truthfully say I have destroyed more of these decals than I have saved. They seem to be unobtainable.
February 19, 2017 at 7:24 pm #53287I found a few other variations in wording.
US version said "Twist Grip", Canadian said
"Speed Control", etc., Guess the differences
resulted when the Petersborough gang translated
it into Canadian. 🙂Prepare to be boarded!

If you think it would be of any help I can check my ’52 Fleetwin.
KirkFebruary 20, 2017 at 2:06 pm #53324Kirk, I believe the 52 would have the fuel tank built on,
therefore instructions somewhat different??
I’m about 95% confident in the wording of my new decal.
The font will be different of course, and layout of text
a little off from original. Not going to be a show motor
(none of mine are, lol) so I’m not too worried about it.
Thanks.Prepare to be boarded!
