      The gears a slipping at the handle pivot point even if you unhook mag plate. Is there a adjustment or are the gears worn out. Will the parts off any motor with this setup work.

        US MEMBER PAY BY CHECK

        A common problem with the old stamped gears. You can try shimming them closer together with some nylon washers. Better yet, replace them with the newer ball-gears type. You have to replace both gears/shafts assemblies. I THINK the change was made in 1956.
