      What is the purpose for the subject hose?  What type of hose (ie, size and material) should I replace it with?

        303463  PH  side hose is listed as oil return it serves to send puddled crankcase oil juices back up to the top bearing for oil…

        you can replace with proper sized hose…  some use clear fuel hose to see oil working itself back up the top under crankcase and vacum pulsing of the crankcase
